Foundations of Affordable Housing Property Management Series Instructor: Jamila Burleson-Goshon This five-part training series provides a practical foundation for affordable housing property management, focusing on how core programs, compliance requirements, and day-to-day operations fit together. Designed for new hires and cross-training, the series helps staff understand the why behind the rules so they can apply requirements correctly, reduce errors, and work more confidently across HUD, LIHTC, HOME, and layered properties. Participants will learn how program rules, operational practices, and consistent documentation work together to support successful affordable housing communities. Each 90-minute session builds essential knowledge and skills needed for consistent, compliant, and professional property management.
Part 4: Compliance, Documentation & Audit Readiness This session focuses on required documentation, timelines, and ongoing compliance responsibilities. Participants will learn how to manage annual and interim recertifications, household changes, record retention, EIV and NSPIRE basics, and how to prepare for audits and file reviews.
