Moving from Paper Files to an Electronic Filing System

Going to an electronic filing system can save time a nd money but there are things to consider to make sure you organize your fi les effectively. Learn the steps to take to make sure your electronic files are done in a way that meets your needs.
Implicit
Bias is the attitudes and stereotypes that influence judgment, decision-mak
ing and behavior in ways that are outside of our conscious awareness and/or
control. Dr. Liz Redford with Project Implicit will begin this session wi
th an interactive demonstration of perceptual, memory and judgment illusion
s that help illustrate that we do not have complete access to or control ov
er our own minds. She will provide an explanation of implicit bias with an
interactive group demonstration of an Implicit Association Test (IAT), the
most widely-used measure of implicit bias. Next, research evidence for how
implicit bias impacts organizational effectiveness is provided and followed
by practical steps to manage implicit bias.
Dr. Redford is
a behavioral scientist with Healthy Minds Innovations where she uses behav
ioral and data science to drive product development. In her role as a scien
tist and consultant, she has advised corporations, universities, nonprofits
and government agencies on implicit cognition and strategies for mitigatin
g biased decision-making.
Dr. Redford earned B.A. and M.A
. in Psychology from California State University, Sacramento, and Ph.D. fro
m the University of Florida.
