Dynamic Compliance with REAC Inspections
HUD REAC Inspection requirements saw many changes last year; adding new standards for inspector performance and new requirements for inspectors to check not only for the existence of issues but also the quality of repairs. The changes have been so far-reaching that many who need to remain in compliance are reacting in fear. In this training, we will illustrate a systematic, orderly approach to REAC inspections. Learn how the scoring process can be utilized in the preparation method and the best approaches for success with the country’s leading REAC consulting firm. We will cover all the new REAC changes and a thorough tutorial of what you need to know to ensure success on REAC without the stress.
Learn the must-know details of REAC and UPCS Inspection Processes, including what to expect with recent HUD REAC Changes and Updates. This is an updated course that provides the much-needed training on HUD REAC Updates in a full day session, complete with breakfast and lunch.
The course includes:
  • What the UPCS Inspection Code and How to Best Understand It
  • What you should and should not do when preparing for a REAC Inspection
  • New REAC Changes for Understanding the HUD Industry Standard Requirements
  • What is and isn't a deficiency in all areas of your property and how to recognize issues without having to know the entire code.
  • How to develop a standard for your property that incorporates HUD's UPCS/REAC Standards but takes it to a "Higher Standard"
  • How to be better at inspecting than your REAC Inspector, so that no matter who the inspector is, you will be prepared
  • If you have some constraint on space, or just wanted something as a blurb
This session will cover the recent updates from HUD on changes to REAC, including new rules on how repairs are evaluated and how all deficiencies in the inspection code are viewed slightly differently. We will review the basics of UPCS/REAC and then explain the new requirements, and then discuss some best practices to ensure that you understand the risks of the new HUD requirements and all of the requirements for each deficiency.
