Designed for new hires and cross-training, the series helps staff understand the why behind the rules so they can apply requirements correctly, reduce errors, and work more confidently across HUD, LIHTC, HOME, and layered properties.

The session also touches on the operational fundamentals that keep properties functioning successfully, including the role of rent collections and accurate rent posting in maintaining property sustainability.

This session focuses on fair housing in leasing, application processing, required documentation, and move-in practices. Participants will learn how to distinguish eligibility from screening, handle reasonable accommodations, organize files properly, and avoid common leasing-related compliance findings. The session also addresses the importance of setting clear expectations with residents during onboarding, including explaining rent payment procedures and policies early in the leasing process.
