Larry holds an MBA from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and dual graduate and undergraduate Public Policy and Political Science degrees from Mississippi State University. His global perspective is enhanced by international residencies in São Paulo, Mexico City, Delhi, Rotterdam, Warsaw, and Barcelona through the prestigious OneMBA Program. He has also completed advanced certifications from the University of Oxford and MIT in real estate investment and data science.

As Vice President of Government Affairs at the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA), Larry has successfully advocated for billions in federal investments for housing and community development, impacting millions of lives. His leadership during crises, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, secured emergency funding and bolstered the resilience of the affordable housing sector.

Previously, Larry served as a Program Analyst at HUD, contributing to innovative products, disaster recovery, and economic mobility. As a Project Manager during pivotal moments like Hurricane Katrina and the Global Financial Crisis/U.S. housing market crash, he gained invaluable experience in underwriting and feasibility analysis for residential projects.

An engaged mentor, panelist, and speaker, Larry shares his expertise at forums such as White House Roundtables on Eliminating Regulatory Barriers to Affordable Housing and Tenant Protections & Rental Affordability, Greenbuild International Conference & Expo, the Urban Land Institute-Mexico, and Virginia Tech's Property Management Advisory Board.
